This day was pretty much punctuated by sleep and lethargy! After the trip consuming the last few days, I’m not even guilty about that!

The one thing I forgot to mention in yesterday’s post was the sun. Being in Whitehorse was amazing in one respect…the sun! We haven’t seen the sun for so long and it was a little bit strange to see it again. Nevertheless, it was nice!

Lorie has decided that there are too many partridge in the freezer. Apparently it’s time to make soup! We have most of the ingredients; but we need turnip. Lorie went out to the stores to buy some turnip, what a challenge that was! Finally, after four stores, she found some, but at a price. It cost us about $6 to buy two small turnip (about the size of apples)!

We also went to the Library. I was actually pretty impressed with the place. It was clean and well appointed; there are lots of books on the north, as you would expect. The staff are also very helpful. There will be lots of research material for me to consume since I plan to try my hand at a little writing, nothing elaborate mind you, maybe a few short stories set in the north. Thoughts?
