Today was a day on easy street. We did very little. Well, Lorie went skiing and took the dog with her. Other than that the day was pretty much taking it easy and doing some chores around the house. For my part, I spent the day watching movies and surfing the net. Yeah sure, life is good!

This entry is late due to the fact that we went to friend’s house for a get together and didn’t get back till late. One meets some really interesting people up here. There’s a comforting diversity to them. Add that to all the “activity’ of the day and I was just too tired to do much but sleep.

I got up relatively early this morning in an attempt to maintain some semblance of a schedule. It’s really hard to get up early on a dark Saturday morning, though. There’s a bit of will involved.

I am on the lookout now for a snowmobile. There aren’t a lot of them for sale here this time of year, but I am keeping my options open. It wasn’t really my plan to buy one so soon, but there is one basic reason for this. I really miss eating fish. I am used to eating fish quite often, and that is basically not possible here. Sure you can buy the crappy quality cod here for four or five times the price you would have to pay in Newfoundland, but I choose not to. My solution to this problem is to go ice fishing for some local fresh water fish. Trouble is you really can’t get to the good spots on foot; you need a snowmobile. No different than home really, I suppose. So my thought is to buy a cheap basic machine for this year and another new one next year. That way we will have two machines and hunting and fishing will become more of a possibility.
